FLOWERS + BREAKFAST

Breakfast

Well this weekend certainly disappeared in a heartbeat. I second shot (for the first time) a wedding on Saturday, it was so beautiful (I know, I know, most people say that but it really was), so many flowers and a VW camper van and a Morris Minor featured - it was like a wedding from my dreams. The flowers above were from the wedding which were kindly given to me - glass included (!!), aren't those colours just perfect?! It was a long old day though and I didn't quite anticipate just how super tired I would be on Sunday, I slept terribly too because I was still thinking about the photographs from the wedding so we got up and went out for breakfast at a pub round the corner... then spent the rest of the day on the sofa. Perfect.

Hope you had a good weekend too!

BLOGGERS AT THEIR DESKS: CHARLOTTE, LOTTS AND LOTS

I've known Charlotte since my first ever blogger meet up and I'm so glad she agreed to be a part of my bloggers at their desks series, I love her blog Lotts and Lots. She makes the loveliest jewellery and has the most beautiful blogging table in her new house that she's currently renovating. I completely fell in love with Charlottes house when she invited me round, it is so beautiful no words I say will be able to do it any justice. Charlotte has recently shared the lounge before and after on her blog and if you love that prepare to be totally floored by the kitchen.

Thanks for taking part Charlotte!

A DRIZZLY WEEKEND

Just a few pictures from my weekend... the top 3 were little moments I got whilst lazing around the house with the fan on full blast. We keep treating ourselves to meringue with strawberries and cream, we should really stop but its just too good and I guess they will be out of season soon so best make the most of it really..
The weather was so temperamental this weekend, it looked like a drizzly autumn day most of the time but was humid as hell. When the weather is like this I get so unproductive, my brain doesn't function properly and I just want to lay around (eating meringue) half watching TV, half reading a book but not really doing half of anything. Steven suggested we take a trip to Canterbury on Sunday to sort me out so we hopped in the car and I drove all the way there - and back! On a motorway too, which is less scary then driving around the streets of Peckham I tell you.
Canterbury is just lovely, like a little York, very quaint and touristy with lots of history. We visited Tiny Tim's tea rooms which seemed to be a nod to Betty's in York but you could actually get a seat. That scone you see there? Yeah, I had a massive slab of chocolate fudge cake which was too ridiculous to even photograph but I did have food envy, those scones were flipping good.

Hope you had a good weekend too!

We certainly had a taste of The Good Life this weekend with a visit to Dorset to see an old school friend of Steven's and his wife and two kids. They live on a dairy farm that holds about 800 cows and is surrounded by field after field of crops and grass, woodland and a nice little veg patch that has everything you could need to whip up a last minute meal - with pudding!
Every time we go away for a couple of days in England we always seem to get the muggiest, most uncomfortable weather but absolutely no sun, I don't know what gives!
It's the first time I've ever been around a dairy farm and I loved seeing all the different cows in the different stages of the process. Just seeing how a farm works that's not open to the public is fascinating in itself, I knew it required hard work but I really had no idea.

On Sunday we went for a long walk around the fields taking in the sights, meeting some cows along the way who were grazing in the fields and giving our lungs some much, much needed fresh air. We then headed back for a quick lunch with salad picked from the garden before the drive home.
London, please be kind to me this week.

Hope you had a good weekend too!

Siobhan has just launched her portfolio and a new design of her blog- Bless the Weather, (which are both looking so good) so when I went round to take a few portraits of her to use I managed to get a few pics of her at her desk for my series. I completely fell in love with her dog Elkie and so desperately wanted to take her home with me! Siobhan has such a lovely work space, so bright and roomy even on the most miserable day of the year!

Thanks for taking part Siobhan! You can see the rest of the series here
