A SUNDAY IN SHOREDITCH

Weekend 2 - 2015

With Saturday being a bit of a write off thanks to this lovely January weather we're having, we wanted to make the most of the rare sun we woke up to on Sunday morning. So we started the day with tea and bacon sandwiches (egg for Steven!) and got the overground up to Shoreditch.

First stop was Vintage Guitar Boutique on Bethnal Green Road for 'just a quick look'

Round the corner is Labour and Wait, a really lovely shop selling all things practical for the house (quite similar to Utility in Brighton), I wanted everything in this shop.

DF Mexico

And our final stop at DF Mexico so we could stuff our faces

The Horchata drink on the left was really good - rice milk with a hint of cinnamon but also weirdly refreshing

Roasted vegetable tacos with fries (we like to keep it traditional...)

And a veggie burrito with corn

That hot sauce was so good... it was pretty good value too, all this came to about £20.

And that was our Sunday. Back to work with a bang today but luckily Broadchurch is here to save the day.

Hope you had a good weekend too!

  1. Mmmm looks tasty. I have major food envy even though I just ate dinner! I must get over to Brick Lane soon; I used to live in Bethnal Green so went basically every weekend, but now I can't remember the last time I was there!

  2. Those two shops you mentioned look and sound amazing. My boyfriend lives in Whitechapel so I frequent Shoreditch pretty regularly but have yet to come across them. Definitely on my list for next time.

Plus, those photos have really made my mouth water! Yum!
