After spending 3 nights in the Brecon Beacons we made our way as far west as we could to the Pembrokeshire coast. It only took a couple of hours to get from Brecon to our campsite at Caerfai Bay in St Davids with a really stunning drive along the way.

Wales is definitely my new favourite place in Britain! I personally think the coast equally matches Cornwall and Devon and it almost feels like a secret as most people seem to choose the South of England over Wales. One big factor I did notice was how uncommercialised this area is. I know other coasts/beaches have chain coffee shops or lots of advertising but I found the Pembrokeshire coast almost unspoilt because of that. I also noticed that in the shops we went in (including the local supermarket), they tend to only sell Welsh produce, fruit, veg, eggs, meat etc. Which is just bloody brilliant...and actually really shouldn't be a novelty at all.

We were treated to some beautiful skies as our tent overlooked the sea and we did a few coastal path walks in both directions eating the brambles along the way. On one of the days, we ended up walking the near 5 miles to the next town - all in the name of a pub lunch and a cuppa!

I really couldn't get enough of the views.

I certainly miss saying hello to everyone I pass, whether on the way to the washing up sinks at the campsite or when you feel like there couldn't possibly be anyone around when a couple of miles in to a walk but then an elderly man and his dog appear from round the corner.

I couldn't resist having another go at the night time long exposure of our tent, the sky was so clear and our tent just looked so pretty all lit up!

And that was the end of our week in Wales and potentially our last camping trip of the year...maybe. We'll be back, Wales. You're too good not to.
I made a video of the Welsh landscape which you can see here and I have also shared a few more pictures over on my website as Blogger hates pictures.

Gorgeous photos! And did you do the driving?? x
